The ZGXL-1J-48K (TY) Signal SPD is connected in series to the input end of protected equipment. When the transmission line is stricken by lightning, the lightning current will be discharged to the ground through the lightning branch circuit, and the over-voltage will be clamped into an accepted voltage range of the equipment, which protects equipment. The product can be used in the protection of the industrial control network, RS422/485 interface, automatic control and instrumentation lines, data lines, telephones, facsimile apparatus, and other equipment, as well as the sensors and secondary meters in the circuit loop; meanwhile, it can suppress induced lightning strokes from signal lines to prevent system equipment being damaged.

1 Before connecting the SPD into the system, first check the grounding resistance of grounding grid, which should meet relevant requirements of specifications.
2 Connect the signal wire of the system to the input end of SPD, output end to protected equipment, ensuring reliable and correct connection.
3 Connect the grounding terminal of SPD to the local PE, with wiring as short as possible.
Usage and Maintenance
1 There are the IN and OUT markings on the nameplate of SPD, and do not reverse them; otherwise the SPD will be damaged, and equipment cannot be effectively protected.
2 Users cannot disassemble the fastening pieces of SPD at random, in order to avoid damage.
3 If you find that the system does not work properly with the SPD, and can work properly without the SPD, it indicates that there is a problem with the choice of SPD, which should be replaced.
