Applications of hot dip galvanized technology:

- Hot dip -galvanized technology which resists metal corrosion for steel structure used rather widely in developed industrial countries.

- Corresponding materials and dip galvanized technology have been deployed at the right time, met the anti-corrosion requirements, improved the quality and longevity as well as the safety of steel structural works and was awarded 3rd prize VIFOTEC in the early 1995.

- Popular applications are in the projects having big steel structure such as: Oil and gas drilling platforms, girders, steel beams, structure of high steel columns, door systems of hydroelectric dams, sluice gates, ship hulls...specified as below:

Telecom field: Systems of products in posting and telecommunications – television sector such as: BTS, antenna towers, antenna pillars…

Electrical field: electrical towers.

Currently, most hot dip galvanized products in Vietnam are accessories of transmission lines made of steel, the TV towers, the households with soft railing protects roads, the urban lighting columns.

Because galvanization proved the great protective features for projects, almost projects of electrical sector now use hot dip galvanized steels and irons.

The longevity of galvanized coating: The expected longevity was defined as the longevity until 5% of the surface appearing rust layer. In fact, applications many years ago in some countries shows that with a thickness of 100 - 150μm in general spraying coating for longevity 15-20 years, if there is a support coating, it often reaches 25-30 years.

Main strength points of technology:

Hot dip galvanized technology is simple and easy to apply, no requirements of complicated equipment. This can be apply for coating zinc onto steel items with different shapes such as: steel bars (tree), steel pipes (straight pipes and bending pipes both are dipped inside and outside), steel wire and welding structures….

Productivity of hot dip galvanized technology is one hundred times more than domestic electrolytic plating.
