Male and Female Connectors and unknown things about connectors

Male and Female Connectors and unknown things about connectors.

DIN and N Connectors both have two types: Male and Female, these two types are used to connect together in Feeder connections or other transmission Cables. Therefore, with different types of connectors between DIN Male and N Female or DIN Male 7/8 and DIN Female 1/2 … How will they connect together? This issue will be handled with adaptors.

What are Male and Female?

There are two endpoints of connectors: Female and Male, these two types of endpoints are used to connect together in telecom transmission Cables.

Example: DIN 7/16 Male Connector for ½ connects to DIN 7/16 Female 1/2 in the connection of two Feeders 1/2. Or N Male 7/8 connects to N Female 7/8 in the connection of Feeder 7/8.

All types of Connectors: DIN, N, TNC, BNC, SMA, SMB, SMC both have two types of endpoints: Male and Female to connect the Cables together.

In the connection of Connectors together such as between DIN Connector and N Connector, Connector 7/8 and Connector 1/2 or in many other connections, Male and Female cannot connect together, or the connection between DIN and N is not possible because they are different types, then it is necessary to use adaptors.

What is Adapter?

Adaptors are also one type of Connector but used to connect two Connectors together. Connecting may be a straight connection, which means 2 connectors are the same or a crossed- connection between different two Connectors, equivalent to 2 types of different adaptors.

Adaptors can connect every kinds of Connectors together, specifically as follows:

4.3-10 Male to 7/16 DIN Female connector adapter

DIN Male to DIN Male Adaptor

DIN Female To DIN Female Adapter

RF Coaxial DIN Male to N Male Adaptor
