STANDARD INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR CABLE LADDERS
In industry, cable trays are used to support and distribute electrical cables with a large capacity. Cable trays are often chosen to replace external wiring and piping systems to protect durable cables and easily insert wires inside. External wiring is easy to change but also easily damaged. Moreover, the piping system is protected, but adding or removing cables will face huge problems. Below is the procedure for installing cable tray ladders:
Step 1: Check individual part
Before installing a cable ladder, make sure you have all the materials. Not all parts of the cable ladder are the same, so check all accessories. In most cases, cable ladder kits contain a certain number of ladders and cable frames which are used to cover the outside (although it is important to note that some kits do not contain hooks), adapter frames, platform frame, grounding strap and a variety of screws, washers and bolts.
Step 2: Cut ladders and Stands according to the size
Unless your ladders and frames have the correct size, otherwise you will need to cut to the right size using ladder saws. Each ladder cuts about extra 2 inches compared with the length you need. Be careful when cutting because it is made from a fairly sharp metal, which can cut your hand.
Step 3: Fix the ladder to the diaphragm wall
Attach the stand to the diaphragm wall, or other intended support points for your cable ladder. Usually, the stand is usually attached to the wall to bind together. Otherwise you will need to drill a hole into the wall with the right size for mounting into wall. Next, insert the adapter frame in the holes on the top of each cable ladder. Make sure the hooks on the adapter frame are facing downwards, and the cable ladder must be above. Once you have the bracket mounted on the wall and have the conversion frame been inside the ladder, you can pin the ladder in the middle of the wall.
Step 4: Attach the foot of the cable tray ladder
This step is quite simple. Most modern ladder frames are simply pinned to the ladder without installing anything else. Ensure the framework to be safe before you proceed to the next step, because a less secure frame will lead to a higher level of risk. In the rare case that a ladder frame is required an additional installation, it is usually simply is mounting ladder frames with cable ladders with nuts, bolts and washers.
Step 5: Ground your cable tray ladder
Grounding the cable trays is very important to prevent electric shock. Although there is no grounding content in the content of the technical requirements, this is a good idea in all cases because it can prevent future dangers. Each layer of cable or cable ladder need to be grounded. First, connect your platform so that the cable tray is at a point near the wall. Next, attach your grounding strap to the foundation frame using the nuts. Finally, attach the grounding strap to one of the grounding points on the wall.
The cable ladder is a cable tray with cable and wire support, a stair-like structure. Unlike external wiring and piping systems, cable trays are both protect cables and provide easy access if you need to change anything. Using the above information, you can easily install a cable ladder.
